Dr. Thompson is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a warm, comfortable environment. With a gentle approach and attention to detail, he takes time to listen, explain treatment options, and make sure every patient feels at ease.
He grew up in San Jose and moved to El Dorado Hills to start his practice and raise his family, and he’s been caring for patients here for 20 years. Outside the office, he enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.
He believes building trust with patients is just as important as delivering high-quality dentistry.

Insurance & in-house plan
In network with Delta Dental PPO and Premier, Cigna, Principal and MetLife. No insurance? Our in-house plan is $350 a year for adults, $275 for ages 5–17 and $115 for ages 2–4.
A thorough first exam
X-rays as needed, an oral cancer screening, a gum check, and a look at every tooth and filling.
Book your next cleaning
We recommend a checkup and cleaning at least twice a year.
Dental emergencies
Call us — should an emergency occur, we make every effort to see you as soon as possible.
Paying for treatment
Cash, personal checks, money orders, most major credit cards, and CareCredit financing. Payment is due at the time of service.

You should have your teeth checked and cleaned at least twice a year, though your dentist or dental hygienist may recommend more frequent visits. Regular exams and cleanings are essential in preventing dental problems and keeping your teeth and gums healthy.
Delta Dental Premier, Delta Dental PPO, Cigna, Principal, and MetLife. If your plan isn’t listed, we’re out of network but can still bill your insurance; you may have a co-payment depending on your out-of-network coverage. We bill insurance as a courtesy, and any unpaid amount is the patient’s responsibility. Treatment plans and pre-authorizations are not a guarantee of payment.
Yes — our in-house plan covers 12 months: $350 for ages 18+, $275 for ages 5–17, and $115 for ages 2–4. It includes 2 professional cleanings, 2 routine exams, needed digital X-rays, 2 fluoride treatments up to age 12, and 20% off our standard fees for treatment. It can’t be used with an insurance plan.
